Rick is a Flash Platform expert. He has built Flash web sites and applications for clients for over 10 years. He is comfortable integrating Flash with data backends using XML, web services, or customer LoadVars solutions. His web sites currently in the wild use contemporary techniques such as AJAX + Flash integration, Papervision3D, and the Model-View-Controller design pattern. He is experienced at building and using components in Actionscript and MXML for both Flash and Flex and is experienced at integrating Flash and Flex together to maximize the creative and technical potentials of both products.

Rick has worked directly with clients for 13 years in freelance and agency environments as a designer, developer, strategist, and consultant.  His work has been featured in Communication Arts, honored by The Webby Awards, In Awe Awards, the APEX awards, and the Telly Awards.  Rick has several years of experience at every level of the interactive process, all the way from building servers to defining project strategy.  This breadth of experience gives Rick a holistic sense for what it takes to make a project successful.

Rick started at iMed as a Flash Developer and 3D animator.  In 2005, he was asked to move to New York to help iMed strengthen their relationships with east-coast partners and clients.  While in New York, he expanded iMed's Tablet PC sofware suite and social media offerings.  He also helped drive a substantial increase in the revenue associated with those products.  As part of the business development team, he helped envision and implement creative technology solutions for clients like Astra Zeneca and Sanofi Aventis.
